As I mentioned last week, I have joined the Dial “Healthier You” program and have been receiving health and lifestyle tips from wellness coach Amy Hendel. We’re chronicling our experience in “Dial Diaries” – so here’s my update for week 2:
This week’s theme is “Exercise”, so unfortunately I can’t participate in any of the suggested activities due to my knee injury. I injured my knees back in March – while using the stair machine at the gym, ironically enough! – and it’s gotten worse in recent months. I can still stand and walk short distances, but I have to stay off them as much as I possibly can in order for them to heal. I actually started using a wheelchair this week so that I can stay off my feet more, and there has been some small improvement as a result. So my efforts in taking care of my health this week have actually involved limiting my motion instead of increasing it!
